Missions of our Church

Our Church is involved in a number of missions:

· Monday School - Each Monday morning, a group from our church goes out to the Standifer Gap Nursing Home and lead in a worship service for the residents. They sing a number of songs together and then one of the ladies of our church shares a message with the residents. Our pastor goes and preaches on the first Monday of each month.  There are usually from 60 to 75 residents present each week.

· ICU Luncheon – On the first Tuesday of each month, a group from our church goes to Memorial Hospital and provides lunch for the families in the Critical Care Units waiting rooms who have a loved one who is being cared for at the hospital.   This allows the family members to have a meal without leaving the waiting area.  The church has received numerous thank you notes from those.

· HACOBA Care Ministry - Our church is one of the strongest supporters of this ministry of Hamilton County Baptist.   We collect canned goods and other foods as well as clothing on a regular basis which are shared with the needy of our county through this ministry that is run out of St. Elmo Baptist Church.  We also support this ministry in our church budget because we believe that we must help meet the needs of the less fortunate in our area.

· Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes – Since one of our former Ministers of Music works at the TBCH, our church has taken a special interest in this ministry. We take a special offering in May to support this ministry to children in need.

·We also support Home and Foreign Missionaries and their work through our budget and through special offerings each year at Easter and Christmas.

·We give to the work of the Hamilton County Baptist Association and the Tennessee Baptist Convention as well.
