checking out our website. We are really excited about
what God is doing
in our church, and we hope some of that comes through in the
pages of this site. You can find a lot of information
about our church on this site, but if you really want to see
what God is doing at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, you need
to come see for yourself. Talk with some of our people
and let them tell you about what God is doing in their lives
as they follow Christ Jesus.
We want to make a positive difference
in the quality of life in the Middle Valley community of Hamilton
County. We are located between Hixson and Soddy Daisy
and our desire is to reach out into these communities with
the Gospel of Christ through our various ministries and activities.
We invite you to come and join our journey with us.
Pleasant Grove is
a community of Christians who come together on a regular basis
for worship and to share our joys and sorrows. We gather for
worship because while faith is personal, it is not private.
We believe it is important that we gather to praise
God for all of his many blessings and we attempt to make Him
the center of our worship experiences.
We need each other
here at Pleasant Grove for fellowship and support as well
as for learning together. Support for and encouragement
to each other is a main reason for being a part of this fellowship.
We have found that we need each other in good and bad times
and we enjoy being with each other.
Our church is committed
to teaching the Bible and concepts of faith. It is important
for each Christian to study privately, but we also believe
in the need to study and share together. Our desire
is to see each other mature in the faith and practice of the
Christian life. We study because we realize that we
still have much to learn about God and His love for us.
And our church wants to minister in
the name of Jesus Christ in our community of Middle Valley,
and in Hixson, Soddy Daisy, Chattanooga, Tennessee, and throughout
the world. We feel that we must care for the entire person
so we think it is important to meet the physical, emotional,
and social needs of others as well as their spiritual needs.
While we do not always succeed in this goal, it is our hearts’
desire.
If you are looking
for a perfect church, we will not be your choice. If
you are looking for a large church with the entire gamut of
programs, we are not the right church for you. However, if
you are looking for a church that cares about you and has
a desire to grow in relationship with God and others, we might
just be the place for you. If you are looking for a
church where you can become actively involved in doing ministry
for others, we might just be the choice for you. Come
and visit with us not only at this web site, but also in our
church facility. You might just like what you find.
